Tomatoes season, no boredom

The new normal is not normal, but what can we do about it? We finished the last project (despite all of the covid obstacles) and are about to start a new one if things go well. The finished project was a total makeover, and the client is happy (and we are happy too, because the client is happy).

The new one will have more bold colours, because the client wants bold colours. We would like to make it feel very spacious, because the place is pretty narrow. We are having now a series of days of looking out of the window, lying on the bench in the backyard, sipping tea and sketching bizarre things and signs that have meaning for our eyes only. It’s an invisible ongoing work! Don’t disturb! Don’t call and don’t say: well, you are not doing anything now, right? If you don’t see anything, it’s meant to be like that, this is how things work.

In the meantime we laugh and cry over Carlo H. Cipolla “The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity”(https://www.ftadviser.com/your-industry/2019/11/27/the-basic-laws-of-human-stupidity-by-carlo-m-cipolla/). Too much of this stuff happens to us on a regular basis, so it’s a relief to know that it’s not only us… and a terrifying thought that it is reality.

Arugula pesto is done, basil pesto is done, thyme dried and in a jar, lavender is making the office smell like lavender :), we need to figure out what to do with the glut of tarragon. And tomatoes… well, it’s an ongoing task of converting tomatoes into jars of tomato paste. And we keep baking. And…

Who said that autumn is boring?
